Programs & Services - Adult Education
The Urban Outreach Center provides free classes to help residents gain basic skills that are needed in today’s work place.
GED Classes: GED classes are offered in English and Spanish. A $10 deposit is required for the study guide. The deposit is refunded upon return of the guide. The Center also covers the cost of the GED test which is offered through Gateway Technical College.
Spanish classes are held on Wednesdays and Fridays, 5-7pm*
English classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5-7pm*Chat-n-Chew**: This series of programs focuses on topics such as: bullying/harassment, adolescent behavior, communications with your teen, and current information on alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use/abuse prevention.
Community Bible Study: Neighborhood residents join together to share God’s Word. Bible study is held on Thursdays, 10-11am.
